Julia Huston is well known for achieving outstanding results for clients in high-stakes intellectual property cases. She provides a full range of trademark services to our clients, with a focus on litigation and strategic counseling, and represents the owners of numerous famous marks. Julia represents clients in fields as diverse as pharmaceutical products, food and beverages, health care, consumer products, electronics, software and hardware, insurance, financial services, energy, education, publishing, and entertainment.
Joshua Jarvis specializes in intellectual property matters, with an emphasis on high-level trademark and copyright strategy, including prosecution, policing, ownership, licensing, and use, as well as related matters such as false advertising, right of publicity, and commercial disparagement. Joshua’s trademark expertise spans industries and verticals, including pharmaceuticals, high-tech, software, consumer electronics, energy, foods, luxury brands, fabrics and textiles, cosmetics, and medical devices. In addition to traditional trademark and copyright matters, Joshua focuses on various issues specific to social media and the internet, including domain name acquisition and dispute strategy.
Nicole Kinsley is an attorney in the firm’s Intellectual Property department, where she focuses in trademark, copyright, and false advertising matters. Her practice includes litigation, pre-litigation counseling, and strategic portfolio development.
Nicole provides a full range of trademark services. She advises clients with respect to trademark selection, clearance, prosecution, and enforcement, and helps them manage worldwide trademark portfolios.
Dave Kluft is partner in Foley Hoag LLP’s Intellectual Property and Litigation departments. He is co-chair of the Advertising and Marketing group and a member of the Trademark, Copyright and Unfair Competition group. He is the co-editor of the award-winning Trademark and Copyright Law Blog. Among Dave’s clients are companies and individuals in the fields of food and beverage, entertainment, consumer products, pharmaceutical products, health care, computer software, automotive, financial services and education.
Jenevieve Maerker focuses her practice on helping companies both large and small to develop and protect their intellectual property assets. She has extensive experience in domestic and international trademark strategy, including selection, clearance, registration, policing, and licensing of marks and other brand assets. Jenevieve also litigates trademark, trade dress, and copyright infringement and ownership disputes in federal court and handles opposition and cancellation proceedings before the United States Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Catherine Muyl is a partner in Foley Hoag AARPI’s Intellectual Property Department, resident in the Paris office. She has practiced intellectual property law for more than 20 years, focusing on litigation with regards to patent, trademark, copyright, registered designs and models, software and related rights (including databases).
She is also a member of Foley Hoag’s Data Privacy & Security practice and an author for the Security, Privacy and the Law blog.
Natasha Reed’s practice covers all aspects of trademark and copyright law with an emphasis on global protection for multinational businesses. Natasha assists clients in developing strategic plans for enforcing their global brands, from managing trademark portfolios for domestic and international clients to litigation involving among other areas, trademark and copyright infringement, anti-counterfeiting, and false advertising, to negotiating and drafting trademark licenses.
Peter Sullivan is a partner in Foley Hoag’s Intellectual Property, Litigation, and International Litigation & Arbitration Departments. He focuses his practice on intellectual property and complex commercial matters.
Peter has litigated patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret matters in courts across the United States. A registered patent attorney, Peter also appears on behalf of clients before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, including in inter partes review (IPR) proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).
